Arsenal Striker, Suzanne Grant - extraordinary talent

Today’s FA Women’s Cup Final between the Arsenal and Sunderland womens’ teams drew the highest TV viewing figures in the tournament’s 38 year history, with almost 18 fans tuning in to watch the match. Viewer numbers were up 30% over the previous year’s game, thanks largely to the landlord of the Prince of Wales pub in Horsham, who forgot to buy new batteries for the TV remote control and was unable to change channel.

Pub regular, Dave Spencer, said “I was going to ask the barman to just switch the TV off at the wall, but then we noticed the cameraman kept zooming in on Suzanne Grant so we thought we’d leave it for a while. Didn’t think much of the northern birds though.”

The game ended in a 2-1 victory for Arsenal, apparently, at least that’s what somebody who watched the match told us.
